What is ChqPlz?

ChqPlz is a tool for tradies to share experiences about customers — the ones who don’t pay. It’s not about legal threats or credit checks. It’s about helping each other know before you go.

How does it work?

You check an address before taking on a job. If someone’s had trouble getting paid there before, you’ll see it.
You can also report your own bad experiences — so others know what they’re walking into. No one else sees who made the report, only that a report was made.

Can customers see what’s been said about them?

No. ChqPlz is for tradies only.
It’s about protecting each other, not naming and shaming.

Is my info safe?

We don’t sell your data. We don’t share your reports outside the platform.
We’re here to protect tradies — not exploit them.

Users can only see if an address has been reported, when they check the address, but not who reported it, this remains confidential.

Does reporting an address count against my monthly checks?

Nope. Reporting is always free.
Only checking an address counts toward your monthly limit.

Do I have to confirm my report is true?

Yes. When you submit a report, you must acknowledge that what you’re saying is accurate and not unfair.
ChqPlz is built on honesty — tradies looking out for each other, not taking shots at people for no reason.

How do I clear a report if someone ends up paying?

Easy.
Go to My Records, find the address, and hit the X button next to your report.
That marks the issue as resolved so other tradies know the customer made things right.

What do I get with the Standard plan?

$14.95/month gets you 40 address checks.
That’s about the price of a decent craft beer — and this one actually saves you money.

What do I get with the Pro plan?

$49.95/month gives you unlimited checks.
If you’re flat out with jobs, this is the one for you.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. No contracts, no lock-ins, no drama.

Can I use ChqPlz on my phone?

Yep — it works great on mobile.
Just open ChqPlz in your browser and add it to your home screen for quick access.
On iPhone: tap the three dots, then the share icon, then “Add to Home Screen.”
On Android: tap the three dots, then “Add to Home screen.”

Is this legal?

Yes — ChqPlz doesn’t publish private info or make legal claims.
It’s a peer-to-peer experience-sharing platform, not a blacklist.

I performed a check and it said “All Clear” but i still had a payment issue?

You may have been the first tradie to experience a payment issue at that address. If that happens, report the address so the next tradie is aware before they turn up. It’s tradies helping tradies – across all trades, not just your own. That way every tradie benefits!!

Can I report my ex?

Only if they hired you for a job and didn’t pay.
Otherwise, we recommend therapy, a fishing trip, or a cold one with mates.
